CAROLYN DELISSER is a Fine Art Appraiser qualified to write appraisals for collectors, lawyers, and estates, for the IRS. She has currently completed the 2009 examination and is compliant with the Unified Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) which is the Congressionally-recognized set of standards promulgated by the Appraisal Institute of America.

She also writes appraisals for insurance purposes (retail replacement value) for the general public, corporations and individuals who wish to conserve and protect their property, and/or valuate Fine Art items at Fair Market Value when they are being considered for charitable donations, to museums, schools or Not-For-Profit organizations.

If you wish to request information to determine whether you need an appraisal for one or more items of fine art, review the attached questionnaire before you communicate about an item or a collection in question. It will help you to be knowledgeable about your property and to determine whether an appraisal is needed.

If you have a work of art that you are curious about, you may submit a photo of the work along with a check for $25. to find out whether it is cost effective for you to consider an appraisal. Appraisal fees are based on research and determined by an estimated time needed to discover appropriate comparables as well as the artist’s record of sales or history, and other items that will be explained before a fee is determined. There is a minimum fee of $250. for the documentary writing of an appraisal.

The area of expertise of CND FINE ART is contemporary paintings, sculpture, and drawings and prints. A background of 20 years experience in the art world has involved close collaboration with professional appraisers of many disciplines and has contributed a working knowledge of 19th Century and Modern Art as well as Old Masters.
